NEW IBERIA - American Pollution Control Corp. continues to be recognized for its stellar safety program and record. Most recently, Chevron Pipe Line awarded the New Iberia-based company with its Contractor Safety Management Award.
The achievements required to attain the award were no fatalities, spills or discharges, incidents on Chevron property, more than 3,000 hours worked for the company, less than a 0.64 total recordable incident rate overall, management field visits, participation in safety meetings, demonstration of commitment to health, environment and safety through communication and actions, promotion of safe behaviors and recognition for doing so and communication with Chevron of the company’s commitment to work closely with Chevron to achieve incident-free operations.
